Oslo Opera House

Oslo Opera House by Snohetta

‘In the opera house, three main materials were specified early on – white stone for the ‘carpet’, timber for the ‘wave wall’, and metal for the ‘factory’. A fourth material, glass, allows for the exposure of the underside of the ‘carpet’ ‘. The stone used is la Facciata Italian marble, with oak for the timber work and aluminium for the metalwork.
